Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage high volumes of transactions with accuracy.

This role is crucial in ensuring our financial operations run smoothly and efficiently, maintaining strong relationships with vendors, and supporting the overall financial health of the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, review, and verify invoices and check requests.
• Sort, code, and match invoices.
• Set invoices up for payment and enter / upload invoices into the system.
• Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
• Manage the preparation and processing of checks, including check runs, wire transfers, and ACH payments.
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions.
• Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies and respond to inquiries.
• Maintain and update vendor files, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Negotiate payment terms and resolve payment issues in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate historical records by filing and scanning documents.
• Prepare and produce accounts payable reports and summaries.
• Assist in month-end closing and audit processes.

Qualifications

Education :

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.

Experience :

• Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
