Process Improvement Coordinator Our well-established manufacturing client is seeking a Process Improvement Coordinator to join the team at their Milford, NH facility. You’ll be responsible for leading and driving the production department’s continuous improvement and training initiatives. If you are a strong communicator with prior Lean manufacturing experience, then consider this full-time, direct-hire role with comprehensive benefits.Responsibilities of the Process Improvement Coordinator

  • Promote a customer-centric team culture of continuous improvement with new and existing tools
  • Help identify and implement solutions to correct safety issues
  • Plan, perform, and implement improvement initiatives related to product quality, production processes, training systems, and new product introduction
  • Coordinate with the Training Manager to identify, develop, and ensure adherence to training requirements
  • Work closely with Production teams to identify and document opportunities for improvement, communicate them to management, and make recommendations on how to address the challenges
  • Assist and coach Production teams on process improvement implementations and training initiatives, and help them perform cost and benefit analyses
  • Collect, analyze, and present metrics
  • Solicit and follow up on process improvement suggestions from internal customers
  • Work cross-functionally to assist in developing, communicating, implementing, and auditing 5S and Lean practices
  • Schedule and deliver Lean, 5S, and other trainings, as needed
  • Research, propose, and purchase non-standard items required for teams to effectively manufacture products
  • Perform additional tasks and projects as assigned

Qualifications of the Process Improvement Coordinator

  • 2 years of process improvement leadership experience in a production environment
  • Electronics manufacturing experience a plus
  • Associate degree and prior lean manufacturing training
  • Prior Lean manufacturing implementation leading to substantial cost savings
  • Strong background in process improvement methodologies, including but not limited to: Cell design, Kanban, 5S, One-Piece Flow, Value Stream mapping, Mistake Proofing, Standardized Work, Heijunka scheduling, Time and Motion studies, and Kaizen Event facilitation
  • Experience identifying opportunities to reduce waste
  • Active listener with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision independently and in a team setting
  • Computer proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with Microsoft Visio, Smartsheet, or other Process/Value Stream mapping software a plus
  • Experience with Power BI or other statistical analysis software a plus
