Leddy Group is Hiring a CNC Operator Near Rochester, NH

CNC Operator 
A global manufacturer is now hiring CNC Operators on first and second shift at their facility in Rochester, NH. Take the next step in your career at a well-established company that encourages both personal and career growth for employees!
Responsibilities of the CNC Operator

  • Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes
  • Perform machining operations such as turning, milling, and drilling to very close tolerances on a wide variety of materials
  • Follow written and verbal instructions and interpret complex engineering drawings
  • Use precision measuring instruments to ensure parts meet quality standards
  • Replace tooling, adjust machines, and replenish materials as needed
  • Contribute to team efforts to meet daily goals in safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity
  • Train and provide guidance to lesser-experienced machinists
  • Observe good housekeeping practices
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications of the CNC Operator

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior experience in a diverse manufacturing environment; 3 years preferred but will consider applicants with less experience
  • Must be able to read and interpret specifications, blueprints, and drawings
  • Must be familiar and comfortable with industrial machinery
  • Familiar with the use of micrometers, snap gauges, and other tools
  • Knowledge of assembly, machining, quality control, and safety
  • Team player with effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic math skills and computer skills
  • Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to stand and walk throughout 8-hour shift and lift 25 lbs. consistently
  • HAAS/Fanuc/Siemens controls experience is a plus but not required

Openings are available on first and second shift working Monday through Friday from 6:00am-2:00pm or 2:00pm-10:00pm with 2 paid 20-minute breaks. Pay depends on experience, ranging from $23-$26/hour. This CNC Operator role may lead to a direct hire for the right candidate, so don’t hesitate to apply!
