Overview

The Position:

This position is for our US based operations located in Tolland, Connecticut. Reporting to the Director of Product Roadmap, based in Cestas, France, you will be part of a global team of 8 project managers and will be responsible for leading the activities of Lectra’s Hardware Automation projects and roadmap offers in the US.

You will manage projects of industrial equipment research and development and will play a leadership role with matrix-based teams. In particular, you will be strongly interacting with Product Management, Hardware and Software R&D, Purchasing, and other Industrial Management teams, especially with the roles of Product Owner and Technical Coordinators.

Responsibilities

The project coordination activities will involve management of development lifecycle of our automation products - including prototype building, definition of processes and tools required, design and development activities, technical installation, market launch, user on-boarding, and service and maintenance. You will also be responsible for ensuring alignment of operations with the technical and business requirements set forth by product management while meeting costs and deadlines, as well as ensuring the products meet or exceed the premium quality and usability standards that our customers demand.

Your role as a pilot is to steer the project towards success and to allow right decisions to be made at the right level at the right time.

As such, your main missions will be to:

  • Build, execute, and share development and industrialization plans in collaboration with various internal globally dispersed teams
  • Lead various project management ceremonies: visual management, stand-up meetings, etc.
  • Manage projects by identifying the quality/cost/deadline risks associated with these projects and by proposing arbitrations
  • Maintain detailed status of the projects
  • Develop a continuous improvement approach and promote the sharing of best practices

Qualifications

PROFILE: 

  • You have at least 5 years’ experience in a similar leadership position in an industrial environment
  • You master the methods and the tools of project management as well as collaborative work techniques; Agile would be big plus
  • You have excellent interpersonal skills and are known for your ability to synthesize and communicate, your rigor in establishing and following up on action plans, your leadership, your ability to federate and your team spirit. Your sense of commitment and your result orientated mindset will enable you to carry out your missions successfully.
  • Excellent business analytical skills (process flows, spreadsheets, modeling, procedures)
  • Comprehensive understanding of statistics and working knowledge of building reports and dashboards;
  • Ability to understand and use data and statistics to inform decision-making;
  • Proven team player skills with ability to build and maintain interdepartmental and intradepartmental relationships.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or equivalent experience in a position leading process improvement initiatives for 10 years or more;
