OVERVIEW
The Digital Applications and Services Team is looking for a highly motivated SAP Basis Lead to work with a talented global
team to solve complex problems with innovation and creativity.
The SAP Basis Lead position is to work as a technical lead and perform analysis, design, customization, implementation, and
deployment of SAP ERP applications and systems using ECC, Basis, CRM, Netweaver, Enterprise Portal, and various modules
on UNIX, AIX, Linux, and Windows.
This individual will participate in a variety of technical projects. Conduct research on products, services and emerging
technologies that will increase cost-effectiveness and infrastructure flexibility.
Maintain RDBMS such as Oracle, SQL and achieve storage cost optimization and optimal performance. Perform design,
develop, and oversee implementation of end-to-end Enterprise Application Integrations (EAI) using SAP standard
procedures. Ensure the performance of SAP systems and databases across modules like SD, FICO, SM, PP, and MM.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in SAP Basis installation and configuration
  • Strong Hands-on experience in SAP Basis Administration tasks in Production Support SAP installations, upgrades, and Migrations
  • Performance analysis and optimization
  • Assess change management requirements for deploying new and improved technologies, standards, practices,
policies, and procedures and apply them to the appropriate business activities.
  • Security management and recommendations
  • Manage incidents for non-SAP issues (hardware, NetBackup, Oracle, etc.).
  • Handle Disaster Recovery Planning (DRP) and high availability technologies, including their installation and management.
  • Crisis resolution: Participate actively (technical and communication)
  • Take ownership of incidents, escalations, and communications until resolution
  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for infrastructure and systems administration
  • Database Management and upgrade
  • Perform Gap Analysis and project planning. Recommend, and where necessary, schedule and perform security improvements and upgrades
  • OS installation, management, and upgrades
  • Perform tuning of ABAP4 programs
  • Public Cloud Management Research and develop solutions tailored to specific customer requests
  • Review complex problem situations, identify preventive measures, and implement process, procedures, or tool improvements as needed
SAP BASIS ADMIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Transport and printer management
  • Manage first analysis on incidents and make suggestions on incident resolution
  • Daily checks and daily reports analysis
  • Manage BASIS scheduler and backup tools, operating systems, and databases
  • Follow, maintain, and create procedures when necessary
  • Participate in Agile meetings, global and local (Scrum boards, Backlog, Sprint planning, etc.)
PROJECT/CHANGE MANAGEMENT
  • Lead standard SAP projects and technical initiatives, including upgrades and migrations
  • Provide valuable insights and recommendations to customers for effective decision-making
COMMUNICATION/PRESENCE
  • Strong Collaboration skills
  • During crisis, efficiently handle communication both internally and externally, and make informed technical decisions
  • Ability to collaborate within cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams
  • Provide direction to an existing offshore team
  • Plan technical operations and work with account managers to draft customer propositions
  • Participate in service review meetings covering performance, service improvements, quality, and processes.
  • Take ownership of client satisfaction and adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • B.S in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent years’ experience five (5) years of progressive computer programming experience.
  • Must have three (3) years of experience with customizations and deployment of ERP SAP Applications and Systems
  • 3 plus years of experience working with SAP (SD, FICO,SM, PP, MM )and Salesforce
· Strong skills in MS Excel, Visio, MSWord, and PowerPoint, Jira · Experience Vertex connection, IBM EDI
  • Experience (2 years) leading Agile project activities
  • Experience utilizing business intelligence tools such as Power BI, BW
  • Will work on ECC, Basis, Netweaver, CRM, ABAP4, RDBMS, Unix or Linux.
  • Understanding of High availability, and public cloud platforms.
  • Fluency in English
TRAVEL
  • Overnight travel based on business needs, International travel also a possibility but generally less than 10%
