LeadingAge Oklahoma is Hiring an Executive Director Near Oklahoma, OK

Title: Executive Director

Responsibilities: Executive Director of the organization, and as such charged with conducting the affairs of the Association, in keeping with established policies and procedures of the LeadingAge Oklahoma Board of Directors. The Executive Director is responsible for making decisions relating to the organizing, directing, managing, and planning of LeadingAge Oklahoma. The Executive Director shall exercise authority directly through supervisory staff over all personnel and all activities of the organization. The Executive Director is selected and employed by the LeadingAge Oklahoma Board of Directors.

Job Duties: Areas of responsibilities delegated to the Executive Director include the following:

Human Resources:

· relates to both the Board and to the staff but has ultimate responsibility to the Board.

Board of Directors:

· develops and recommends to the Board of Directors, specific, written, long and short-range plans for the development of LeadingAge Oklahoma programs and services,

· maintains appropriate relations with the Board and various Board Committees, and keeps them informed,

· interprets trends in the fields of service in which LeadingAge Oklahoma is engaged, by maintaining involvement in the professional field as a whole,

· assists with orientation and training programs for the Board.

Professional Staff:

· supervises and directs key staff in the performance of their duties,

· evaluates the performance of key staff members,

· provides overall control of and direction for the personnel of LeadingAge Oklahoma, including active participation in or approval of personnel actions,

· manages volunteer staff activities.

Planning:

· evaluates the services being provided by LeadingAge Oklahoma in relation to specified goals and standards, and recommends modifications, where appropriate,

· recommends new programs to the Board.

Finance:

· prepares LeadingAge Oklahoma budgets and is accountable for control of these resources once approved, directs all financial operations of LeadingAge Oklahoma.

Consultant Relations:

· manages all activities including coordinating Board activities.

Public Relations:

· Interprets the function of LeadingAge Oklahoma to the community by assisting the Board, through direct involvement and through public relations programs, including personal contact

· descriptive program literature, and the media.

Interagency Relations:

· maintains appropriate relations with other professional and service groups in the community, maintains appropriate relations with federal, state, and local government units, maintains.

· appropriate relations with other agencies in similar fields of service.

Organizational Operations:

· recommends policies to the Board and / or assists the Board in the formulation of policies for the effective and economical operation of LeadingAge Oklahoma and its programs,

· ensures implementation of the policies adopted by the Board, has chief administrative responsibility for maintenance of agency facilities, and regular reporting to various bodies,

· carries chief staff responsibility to ensure that legal obligations of LeadingAge Oklahoma are met.

Responsibilities: The Board of Directors shall employ the Executive Director of the Association. The Executive Director shall have all authority and responsibility necessary to operate the Association in all of its activities subject only to such policies as may be issued by the Board of Directors. The Executive Director shall act as the duly authorized representative of the Board of Directors in all matters in which the Board has not formally designated some other person to act.

Qualifications:

Possess a BA or BS in Business, Political Science, Social Services or a related field.

The preferred candidate will have completed a Master’s level program from an accredited university.

Strong leader and communicator with 5 years experience in legislative process

Experience in planning and developing continuing education programs.

Must have experience in business development as it relates to strategic planning, shared services, and group purchasing.
