Director of Med-Surg
We are searching for a motivated leader for the Director of Med-Surg position. This individual will join a reputable health organization in beautiful Maysville, KY.
Job Summary:
The position of Director of Med Surg requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Develop and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.
• Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
• Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.
• Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding.
• Coordinates and directs internal/external audits. Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth. Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
• Directs the department's activities and resources to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.

Minimum Qualifications:
1. Valid Kentucky Nursing License or Compact Status
2. Minimum of 2 years of progressive leadership experience
3. Certifications; BLS and ACLS required
4. Excellent communication skills across all levels
5. Strategic and inspirational leadership needed for a growing community hospital that has served its community for 40 years
Pay Package Details Salary Direct (Full-time)?
Salary: $75K-$114K
