Leadership Connect is Hiring a Digital Events Marketing Coordinator Near Washington, DC

About the Role

Leadership Connect is adding its third hire to our rapidly growing Events Team. The goal of this hire is to continue to grow our Events Business, especially virtual events such as Webinars. The Digital Events Marketing Coordinator role is crucial in supporting our marketing and virtual event initiatives, ensuring seamless execution, and maximizing engagement. This position will also be instrumental in audience development and speaker outreach for the Events that the team organizes. This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Meet the Events Team

Leadership Connect has over 40,000 users, and given our continued growth and expansion, we are seeking an Digital Events Marketing Coordinator to assist our Director of Events in developing the company’s Events Team. While the department is small, its impact is large as the Events Team works closely with every team in the company, fostering company-wide communication and collaboration that inspire impactful events for our clients and users.

Core Functions of the Role:

  • Assist the Director of Events on creative projects including proposals, invitations, special events, etc.
  • Support day-of event staffing needs as assigned for both in-person and virtual events
  • Manage event registration processes from setup and instructions through after-action reporting
  • Collaborate with the Director of Events to create schedules and manage projects to ensure that major event milestones are met and delivered according to project schedules
  • Research and collaborate with the Director of Events for event content and topics, expanding our digital event initiatives as a company
  • Analyze the success of each event, provide post-event analysis, and internal and external feedback, and incorporate learning into future event plans
  • Identify key digital/virtual events across multiple sectors and prioritize in alignment with overall business goals and brand-building
  • Prepare after-event reports and collateral for marketing website and after-event campaigns
  • Work with the Director of Events to create social media posts and prepare metrics for each event
About You:
  • 1-3 years of event planning, specifically in the digital events space, and marketing experience with 1-2 years of project management experience
  • Knowledge of webinar tools such as Zoom or others
  • Strong understanding of organizing a digital event, defining pre- and post-event goals, and an understanding of digital audience development
  • Experience leading internal and external webinars or serving as a digital event organizer
  • Experience working with Canva developing graphics and other marketing features
  • Familiarity with MS Office Suite and collaborative tools such as Confluence and Smartsheet's or other applicable systems
  • Must be a people person who loves building new relationships
  • Excellent communication, writing, organizational, planning, and project management skills
  • Detail-oriented with superior prioritization skills and the ability to handle many projects simultaneously
  • Skilled in project management and outreach to clients
  • Experience leveraging data insights to drive results and KPIs for each event
  • Strong ability to multitask with evolving priorities
  • Ability and desire to attend in-person events as needed
  • Interest in the Public Sector is important
  • Knowledge of Salesforce a plus
  • Knowledge of WordPress is a big plus

$50,000 - $65,000 a year
