Le Bernardin is Hiring a Staff Meal Cook Near New York, NY

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cook with minimum 4 to 5 years of culinary expertise to join our team as a Staff Meal Cook. The ideal candidate will have a passion for preparing delicious and nutritious meals in a fast-paced environment. If you have a strong background in classical dishes, can handle buffet-style service, and possess excellent time management skills, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

Responsibilities:

· Prepare and cook staff meals for lunch and dinner in accordance with quality standards.

· Serve meals buffet-style, ensuring a visually appealing and well-organized presentation.

· Utilize your culinary creativity to enhance and diversify the staff meal offerings.

· Work independently and efficiently to manage kitchen operations during day shifts (normal hours will be 9 am to 6 pm).

· Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.

· Collaborate with other kitchen staff to coordinate meal service and ensure timely delivery.

· Demonstrate excellent time management skills to meet deadlines and provide efficient service.

Qualifications:

· 4 to 5 years of experience as a Cook in a professional kitchen setting.

· Proficiency in preparing classical dishes and a strong understanding of culinary techniques.

· Ability to cook and serve buffet-style meals, showcasing creativity and attention to detail.

· Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently.

· Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.

· Positive attitude, team player, and the ability to handle pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation:

Competitive rate starting at $25 per hour, with the potential for additional compensation based on experience and performance.
