The General Assembly position is responsible for the assembly of an entire product or component of product. This role involves reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, or work instructions to ensure accurate assembly. Assemblers use hand tools, power tools, and machinery to connect parts, inspect finished products for quality, and troubleshoot and correct assembly issues. Attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to work in a team are crucial for success in this role. Assemblers may also be involved in packaging finished goods, maintaining equipment, and adhering to safety and quality standards throughout the assembly process.

Essential Functions

1. Handling, assembling and transporting of materials and equipment.

2. Perform quality checks on products and parts.

3. Review work orders and blueprints to ensure work is performed accordingly to specifications.

4. Rotate through all tasks required in a particular production process.

5. Complete production reports to communicate team production level to management.

6. Work collaboratively with team members to achieve production goals.

7. Sweep or otherwise clean work areas.

8. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education

1. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

2. Minimum of 1 year experience in Assembly in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

1. Experience with picking of parts, assembling and packaging products in manufacturing environment preferred.

2. Familiarity with working from detailed work instructions/manufacturing order and blueprints (drawings).

3. Ability to use hand / power tools and machinery safely as needed for position.

4. Must be detail oriented and reliable.

5. Ability to work effectively and cooperatively both independently and as part of a team.

6. Ability to multi-task and prioritize appropriately.

7. Ability to use time productively and contribute to high levels of company operational efficiency and effectiveness.

8. Must possess commitment to safety rules and regulations.

Physical Demands

1. Ability stand, sit, walk and bend as needed for extended periods of time.

2. Ability to maneuver heavy work pieces with the assistance of lifting aids.

3. Ability to climb ladders and reach overhead regularly.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
