Job Description
The PMO Lead will help implement and provide guidance related to PMO processes and policies, and work with Project Managers and Corporate leaders to define, prioritize, and develop initiatives and projects to support Service Delivery and Corporate growth. Responsible for leading and supporting projects and initiatives requiring a high degree of creativity and latitude. Reports to the PMO Director.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Continually create, implement, refine, and execute policy, procedure, system monitoring and controls for consistent successful project management and reporting of corporate project portfolio initiatives across the organization
Support driving consistent, repetitive best practices and standards promoting continuous process improvement, ensuring outcomes conform to LCG’s strategic vision, mission and values
Continually create, implement, maintain, and guide project managers by providing tools for consistent, measurable solutions delivery
Drafting new and improving existing project management office policies and processes
Conduct periodic project audits for quality and compliance to PMO standards for continual process and performance improvement
Provide support and guidance for new program contract initiation, structures, reporting needs, project billing structure and close outs ensuring overall program health for the duration of the program contract
Assist leadership in conducting strategic project planning initiatives to maximize resource scheduling, utilization, and resolving dependencies between LCG’s portfolio of projects
Contribute to and assist with the proposal development process and in devising a winning bidding strategy for new contracts by reviewing proposals to assist in determining project level of estimates, costs, timeline, funding, new staffing requirements or incumbent capture, and goals. Also review and provide insight on P&L report progress and forecast final targets
REQUIREMENTS:
Proactive & delivery focused
Highly organized, methodical and structured thinker with strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Expert knowledge of project management processes, tools and procedures
Skilled communicator demonstrating refined stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
Problem-solving skills with experience contributing to a major change project
Motivated team player who also works well independently
Relevant post-graduate qualifications (e.g. PMP, Prince2, Scrum)
Proficient user of collaboration tools (e.g. Jira, SharePoint, Teams, Power BI, Tableau)
A self-starter with good creative skills
MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree in related field; MBA or Master’s preferred in related discipline
5 years working in a PMO
Hands-on exposure to agile
