Position Summary

The Controller/CFO position is responsible for the accounting and financial operations of the company. The role reports directly to the owners ofthe client and is a member of the executive team. The Controller/CFO will partner with the owners and provide strategic financial advice and accurate and timely financial information.

The company currently has an Accountant, but the volume of handling the accounting needs of both entities is overwhelming. The owner feels the Accountant’s time should be focused on the warehouse business and hire a Controller/CFO to focus on the interior design business and the overall financials of the combined entities.

The company uses an interior design specific software, Studio Designer – candidates must be proficient in Excel.

Responsibilities:

· Monthly financial reports provided to owners

· Maintain accurate and up to date accounting records

· Assessment of current processes to streamline and improve communication and work flow

· Oversight/responsibility for hourly billing for Designers

· Monthly statement by customer by specific project, including statement of cash held by Company less furniture purchases - customers pay a 100% deposit on all furniture purchases

· Oversight/responsibility for cash disbursements to vendors

· Generation and submission of periodic financial information to creditors.

· Preparation of supporting documents for taxes to outside CPA for completion

· Management and reporting of cash flow

· Must have a service oriented mindset combined with high level of professionalism and integrity

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $106,883.23 - $128,719.59 per year
