About the position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager of Security Engineering and Operations to join our team. As the Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of our security infrastructure and operations. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing lifecycle of access to all technology. You will understand organization security policies and work with auditors and GRC manager to ensure compliance to those policies. You will device sound security procedures and guidelines to comply with security policies and security standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the protection of our organization's assets and information, as well as the mitigation of security risks.

Your expertise in security engineering and operations will be crucial in developing and implementing security measures and protocols that align with industry best practices. You will lead a team of security engineers and analysts, providing guidance and support to ensure the efficient and effective operation of our security systems.

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of security systems and protocols.

• Provide guidance and support to a team of security engineers and analysts.

• Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and develop appropriate risk mitigation strategies.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the protection of our organization's assets and information.

• Manage access provisioning to all applications, systems, and network devices. 

• Understand organization’s security policies and work with auditors and GRC manager to ensure compliance to those policies. 

• Document sound security procedures and guidelines to comply with security policies and security standards.

• Continuously monitor and respond to security incidents, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to operations

• Stay up-to-date with the latest security technologies, trends, and best practices, and make recommendations for their integration into our security infrastructure

• Develop and execute security training programs to promote awareness and ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field

• A minimum of 5 (Five) years of experience in security engineering and operations

• In-depth knowledge of security systems, protocols, and industry best practices

• Experience leading and managing a team of security engineers and analysts.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple priorities

• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM) are highly preferred

• Proficiency in building and nurturing relationships both internally and externally.

• Willingness to travel up to 50% for customer site visits, company facilities, training sessions, conferences, etc.

• Based in Greater Tampa or willing to relocate.
