The Financial Sponsors Group develops and maintains a broad network of relationships with leading private equity firms, family offices, pension and sovereign wealth funds, and other private capital investors around the world. Large or small, global or regional, we meet our financial sponsor clients wherever they are, providing world-class investment banking services in any situation.

As part of the Financial Sponsors Group (FSG), the Vice President (VP) will be responsible for supporting senior coverage officers to ensure the entire Lazard organization continues to provide our private capital clients with differentiated strategic and financial advice. The FSG VP will be instrumental in managing new and existing relationships, originating and executing transactions and helping to grow the FSG franchise. Our FSG mandate is to provide an industry-leading, holistic coverage framework across all businesses of our private capital clients, including private equity, private credit, growth equity, infrastructure, real estate, energy transition, insurance and special situations. The FSG team is small and nimble and is looking for a highly motivated, self starting individual to assist in our growth.

We’ll trust you to:

• Develop meaningful relationships with the largest and most important investors in private capital
• Be a proactive internal partner that constantly finds ways to add value to our clients
• Stay abreast of market trends, deal opportunities and industry dynamics relevant to our clients’ existing investments, as well as those that align with their high-conviction investment themes
• Collaborate across our lines of business (M&A and Strategic Advisory, Capital Markets Advisory, Restructuring and Liability Management and Specialized Advisory) to provide comprehensive solutions to our clients

You’ll need to have:

• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and at least 5 years of investment banking experience
• Knowledge of the private capital landscape
• Strong quantitative, analytical and communications skills
• Confidence and strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to efficiently lead multiple internal and external workstreams simultaneously
• Comfort in working in an entrepreneurial culture
• Proficiency in Bloomberg, Excel, PowerPoint and other financial tools required

We expect the base salary range for this role to be approximately $250,000 – $275,000 USD. Various factors contribute to determining the actual base compensation offered, including but not limited to the applicant’s years of relevant experience, career tenure, qualifications, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and relevant skills for the role. Base salary is one component of Lazard Financial Advisory’s compensation package, which also includes comprehensive benefits and may include incentive compensation.
