Job Overview: The Grade 9 Biology Intervention teacher will support identified students in meeting the benchmarks necessary to master grade-level science standards and to become assessment-ready for the Biology MCAS, a graduation requirement. Responsibilities: Teach five sections of Biology Intervention for students who have been identified as needing additional support Work collaboratively to align curriculum to the rigor of the MA Curriculum FrameworksImplement assessments that measure progress towards academic standardsUse data from formative and summative assessments to inform instructionMeet weekly with a grade-level content team and an interdisciplinary cohortCollaborate with Special Education and ESL teachers to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students Participate in biweekly instructional coaching sessions to improve instructional practices. Act as advisor to a group of 8-15 students. Communicate weekly with students and families around academic and behavioral progress.
