Lawrence County EMS was established in 2011 to provide competent, innovative, efficient, and expedient pre-hospital care to the residents and guests of Lawrence County. We strive to do this by delivering high quality, comprehensive Emergency Medical Service with excellence, compassion and professionalism.
**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a dedicated Director to oversee operations and lead strategic initiatives for our county EMS service. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the medical field (Paramedic, EMT, other) and a demonstrated fiscal background. Lawrence County EMS operates six full time stations across the county.
**Responsibilities:**
- Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance EMS operations
- Manage budgets, financial planning, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Supervise staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
- Oversee project management activities to improve operational efficiency
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration or related field (Master's degree preferred); OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
- Proven experience in fiscal management
- Strong understanding of EMS operations and healthcare regulations (Ohio regulations preference)
- Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to lead and motivate teams
- Proficiency in project management and strategic planning
