Job Title: Director of Membership

Reports to: President & CEO

Position Description:

The Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce is a network of businesses, industries, local governments, utilities, and private citizens that are committed to improving the quality of life in Lawrence County, Tennessee through economic & community development, membership development, and tourism development.

The Chamber is located in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee is seeking candidates for the Director of Membership position. The Chamber seeks a sales & customer service-oriented business professional to support the organization by performing all functions related to membership development, programming (Leadership Lawrence, Young Professionals, etc.), and provide executive support. The Director of Membership is also responsible for maintaining favorable relations with investors, stakeholders, members, elected officials, and other key industry sector partners. A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field is required with priority consideration given to candidates with a master’s degree or advanced certification in a related field. The successful candidate will have three (3) years of relevant work experience and must be knowledgeable in current public relations, public administration, and organizational management practices, must be a self-starter, detail oriented, and reliable business professional with the ability to multiple projects simultaneously, and possess the ability to provide responsive and professional customer service. Applicants must also have the following software proficiencies: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Adobe Creative Suite (Acrobat), Canva, GrowthZone, and Apple iOS and MacOS.
