Description
One of the foremost litigation and trial law firms in Southern California seeks associate attorneys for both of our Pasadena and Costa Mesa offices. Associates will handle defense work in all phases of federal and state civil rights litigation, including opportunities to gain, early hands-on experience working on responsive pleadings to complaints, written and oral discovery, motions for summary judgment, trial preparation and trial and/or trial assistance and appeals. New associates will work with other associates and partners in developing and executing strategy in all aspects of litigation and will have the opportunity to engage in extensive communications with clients, percipient witnesses and expert witnesses. Through the research-intensive motions practice, associates will gain a comprehensive understanding and application of the constantly evolving practice of civil rights law.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Member of the California State Bar in good standing

Minimum 1-5 years’ experience.
High academic credentials.
Strong research and writing skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with federal and state litigation rules.
