Job Summary: We are a family law office currently seeking an experienced, friendly, courteous, and professional paralegal who is works well with attorneys, the courts, clients, and office staff. We pride ourselves on providing excellent service to our clients and creating a positive working environment for employees. The ideal candidate will be responsible for interacting with the attorneys, court, and the clients to ensure smooth operations. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys interacting with people and has strong organizational skills.
Responsibilities: Drafting pleadings, discovery, and other documents. Provide general administrative support, including preparing, organizing, and maintaining client files, photocopying, scanning/faxing. Maintaining deadlines. Assist with scheduling appointments and coordinating meetings. Update and maintain office records and databases. Collect, sort, distribute and prepare correspondence, mail, messages, and courier deliveries. Handle inquiries from clients providing friendly and accurate information. Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient office operations. Greet visitors/clients professionally. Provide general administrative support, including preparing, organizing, and maintaining client files, photocopying, scanning/faxing.
Experience: 1-5 years of related experience (Experience in office environment preferred).
Skills & Abilities: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Multi-tasking capability without compromising on quality. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities. Proficiency in handling office equipment including phone system, computers, printers, copiers, and scanners. Dependable, punctual. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, Tx docs, drop box, lawpay,etc.Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office apps (Word, Excel, Outlook). Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy. Professional appearance and demeanor.
