Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Charge Nurse to join our team. As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of the nursing staff. You will ensure that high-quality patient care is delivered in accordance with medical office standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in management, behavioral health, and occupational health.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and guidance to the nursing staff
- Coordinate patient care activities and assign tasks to nursing personnel
- Monitor patient progress and update treatment plans as necessary
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Conduct patient assessments and document findings accurately
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Assist with airway management and emergency procedures
- Provide education and support to patients and their families
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a healthcare setting
- Experience in ICU or critical care is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of medical office standards and procedures
- Experience administering injections and performing minor procedures
- Previous experience in primary care or family medicine is beneficial
Qualifications:
- Valid license in California
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and make quick decisions
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
