Job Summary:
The Dishwasher plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen. This position involves washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, as well as ensuring the overall cleanliness of the dishwashing area. The ideal candidate will be reliable, efficient, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment while upholding the standards of a fine dining restaurant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dishwashing: Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using both industrial dishwashers and hand-washing techniques as necessary.
• Sanitation: Ensure all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are properly sanitized and meet health and safety standards.
• Organization: Maintain an organized and clean dishwashing area, including proper storage of clean dishes and utensils.
• Waste Management: Dispose of kitchen waste in an efficient and environmentally responsible manner.
• Assistance: Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks and other duties as assigned by the kitchen manager or head chef.
• Equipment Maintenance: Regularly inspect dishwashing machines and other equipment, reporting any maintenance or repair needs promptly.
• Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and maintaining a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a dishwasher or in a similar role preferred, especially in a fine dining or high-volume restaurant.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy items (up to 50 lbs).
• Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen and restaurant staff.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
