Duties:

The Medical Biller and Coder will be a dynamic component of our administrative team, with duties encompassing but not limited to:

• Accurately coding medical surgeries, diagnoses, and procedures in compliance with ICD-10-CM and CPT code standards.
• Verifying insurance benefits and eligibility of our patients, as well as pre-authorization of necessary treatments.
• Efficiently billing patients and their insurance companies, providing clear explanations of benefits and co-pays.
• Timely follow-up on unpaid and denied claims, with pertinent action to resolve issues.
• Cooperating with medical staff to ensure accurate and complete clinical data for claim generation.
• Accurately maintaining and securing patient records in line with HIPAA guidelines.
• Liaising with insurers, healthcare providers, and patients to answer queries, resolve inconsistencies, and provide education on bill-related matters.
