Essential Duties

• Assisting patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and toileting.
• Monitoring vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
• Assisting the nursing staff with medical tasks like taking blood, administering medication, and checking blood sugar.
• Maintaining accurate patient records, including documenting the patient’s health progress and reporting any changes in condition to the supervising nurse.
• Providing emotional and psychological support when needed to the patients.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification or willingness to obtain.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and professionally with patients and their families
• Ability to operate medical equipment
• Proof of COVID vaccination
• Proof of TB test
• Must be compassionate, patient, and possess strong problem-solving skills
• Must be able to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Should have reliable transportation and be willing to travel within Austin, TX for in-home patient care
• High school diploma or equivalent
