The Director of Sales and Marketing is a Retirement Living Guide in assisting older adults in making decisions on lifestyle choices including active independent living options. As part of the process the director provides education on continuing care options available that make Laurel Crest a logical choice for living out retirement years. This role requires a self-starter that has a positive, eager, collaborative and responsive attitude and is supported by a regional sales and marketing team member for sales and marketing resources. 

Having an exceptional understanding of Columbia, SC and the surrounding areas is a plus. People with experience in senior living sales, hotel and hospitality sales or mortgage origination are ideal candidates. The position offers a competitive compensation package that includes commissions.

Responsibilities Include:

· Selling independent living accommodations (apartments and cottages) which includes having consultative conversations about finances, current lifestyle, decision making process, and timeline with prospective residents and family members.

· Planning, managing, and executing all related sales and strategic marketing efforts.

· Meeting established occupancy goals. 

· Developing referral relationships and reciprocal partnerships for all service levels. 

· Maintaining a prospect and resident database.

· Supervising a part time Sales and Marketing Assistant.

Requirements

 The ideal candidate is someone with:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Public Relations, Hospitality Management, Communications, or related field.
• Minimum of five years of experience in marketing & sales, experience in retirement living sales, hospitality sales, or mortgage origination a plus. 
• Proficient computer skills, and experience with CRM systems.
• Experience using a sales process.
• A heart/passion for working with older adults.
• A true passion for customer satisfaction.
• Current driver’s license.
