Laundromat Operational & Service Technician - West Michigan

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized individual to join our team as a
Laundromat Operational & Service Technician, responsible for managing and maintaining multiple laundromat locations across West Michigan. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in equipment service & repair, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple facilities.

Responsibilities:

1. Equipment Maintenance and Repair:

• Perform routine maintenance on laundry equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
• Follow a preventative maintenance schedule across all locations to keep all facilities up to date on PM.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with washers, dryers, and other laundry machinery.
• Coordinate and oversee equipment repairs, collaborating with external service providers when necessary.

2. Facility Management:

• Conduct regular inspections of laundromat locations to identify maintenance needs.
• Address facility-related issues promptly.
• Ensure a clean and safe environment for both customers and employees.

3. Inventory Management:

• Monitor and manage inventory levels for replacement parts and supplies.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of required materials.

4. Staff Training and Support:

• Provide training to laundromat staff on equipment operation and basic maintenance tasks.
• Support on-site staff in addressing technical issues and escalating complex problems to the appropriate channels.

5. Compliance and Safety:

• Ensure all laundromat locations comply with relevant safety regulations.
• Stay informed about industry standards and implement best practices.
• Collaborate with management to develop and maintain safety protocols.

Qualifications:

1. Technical Expertise:

• Demonstrated experience in the maintenance and repair of commercial laundry equipment.
• Familiarity with a variety of laundry machinery brands and models.

2. Organizational Skills:

• Ability to manage and prioritize tasks efficiently across multiple locations.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

3. Communication Skills:

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical staff.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive in identifying and addressing potential issues.

Education and Experience:

• Technical certification in equipment maintenance or related field preferred.
• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the laundromat or commercial laundry industry.

Pay: $20.22 - $27.15 per hour
