Salary: $95,000 - 115,000/year

This position allows for 1-2 days per week remote / work from home after 6 months of training.

This position is responsible for managing general accounting and payroll operations and reports to the Director of Administration.

JOB DUTIES

The duties of the position include, however, are not limited to, the following:

• Responsible for all aspects of the accounting department which includes the monthly closing process, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and all aspects of payroll,
• Manage all bank accounts and credit card account, including analysis of cash position and projections of cash requirements,
• Oversight of the client billing process, including firm time management, invoicing, accounts receivable management and collections,
• Communicate with clients regarding billing issues and collection of outstanding amounts.
• Maintain records of all client IOLTA Retainer funds and approve funding disbursements
• Review and analysis of general account reconciliations
• Filing of company business privilege taxes, use tax, and Forms 1099/1096s
• Provide monthly financial and payroll reports in a timely manner to partners and associates
• Perform monthly and quarterly financial analysis at both the attorney level and the firm level, including comparative financial statements, budgeting, profitability analysis, attorney dashboards and firm KPIs.
• Maintenance and improvement of timekeeping and billing system and accounting system and related processes
• Ability to effectively interact and communicate with attorneys, administrative staff, tax accountants, and clients
• Oversee work of staff accountants.

Requirements:

• Must have a Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting or finance, CPA preferred,
• 3 years of accounting experience
• Must be technologically skilled and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Must have QuickBooks or equivalent accounting software experience
• Must communicate with clients and co-workers effectively and efficiently
• Must have proven track record of organization skills, possess excellent analytical skills and possess attention to detail
• Must have the ability to prioritize, multitask and work in a team environment.
