Latitude is Hiring a Civil Engineering Project Manager Near Charleston, SC

New Job Opportunity - Civil Engineering Project Manager:

New and exciting job opportunity with a client based out of Charleston, SC.Looking to hire a Civil Engineering Project Manager with at least four years of prior related professional experience (Project management / Storm Water Management / Construction Management). Trying to fill this role within the next 2 weeks. EIT Certification Required

Logistics of the Role:

  • Full Time - Direct Hire 
  • On Site

Day to Day Activities:

  • Coordinate and manage construction projects including bidding, scheduling, and cost estimating. Enforces contract requirements and performs construction administration on assigned projects
  • Manage all aspects of the project - Preparation through Construction 
  • Responsible for planning for assigned divisions/systems.
  • Responsible for submittal of any required permits and approvals. Prepares and/or supervises the permit applications for selected projects and ensure all required permits are obtained with necessary approvals.
  • Perform storm drainage, water, and sewer calculations and prepare reports.
  • Work with consultants to necessary easements for all assigned projects. Negotiates and prepares property easements and oversees the preparation of property descriptions, survey and legal recording as required.
  • Responsible for managing project financials i.e. work orders, purchase orders, invoicing etc.
  • Collaborate with various departments state wide: operations, engineering, accounting, customer service

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required.
  • Engineer in Training Certification (EIT) is required 
  • Project Management or Site Development Experience is required 
  • Two or more years of experience in water and wastewater is preferred.
  • HydroCAD, AutoCAD, or ICPR software experience is a plus 
  • Local permitting Experience is preferred
  • 4 years Site Development experience (stormwater, grading, erosion, water and sewer) is preferred 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications is Required
