Lather & Laughs is Hiring a Professional Pet Groomer Near Plantsville, CT
Lather & Laughs is now hiring a Pet Groomer for our growing grooming and playtime facility. We are a fast paced business with many clients and our ideal candidate MUST HAVE PROFESSIONAL PET GROOMING EXPERIENCE. Shop is open Monday through Friday, 6am to 5pm. We offer competitive pay (based on experience) as well as flexible scheduling options.
Responsibilities
- Clean the dog's teeth
- Maintain an upbeat attitude
- Calm an anxious dog
- Ensure company policies are being followed
- Communicate effectively with clients to find out what they need
- Shampoo and wash a dog's hair or fur
- Create a welcoming environment for dogs and their owners
- Cut or shave a dog's hair or fur
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to work with other groomers
- Ability to lift dogs that weigh up to 50 pounds
- Grooming abilities (provide portfolio of different breeds and cuts performed)
- Calming presence to sooth dogs
- Ability to stand on your feet for long periods of time
- Ability to pass a background check
- Great communication skills
- Ability to work on a team
- Ability to multitask
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
