About the Role

The Senior Enterprise Security Analyst is an integral part of Latham’s Technology team. This role will be responsible for assessing technology security risk, researching and implementing security solutions, and operating security tools to aid the security efforts of the firm, while identifying new technologies (hardware and software) necessary to support the confidentiality and integrity of firm systems, researching as necessary and making design recommendations to management regarding their implementation. This role will be located in our Global Services Office, situated in downtown LA. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence. 

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

• Staying abreast of trends in the industry and understanding the impact of future software updates, releases, new techniques, etc. on both current applications and future development
• Working with team members to plan, install, and maintain a suitable testing environment for pre-production testing of patches, upgrades, proof of concept, and project-based deployments for assigned systems
• Providing regular reports regarding the vulnerabilities and compensating controls for assigned areas; when vulnerabilities are identified, working directly with application and platform owners to identify and plan remediation activities to ensure that committed timelines are met
• Working with team members to proactively monitor, review and resolve issues, alerts and notifications regarding enterprise security; including, but is not limited to, specifying and configuring alerts and thresholds
• Providing technical input to technology teams to help ensure firm systems maintain appropriate security measures by analyzing vulnerabilities, identifying compensating controls, and working collaboratively with colleagues to implement secure solutions

• Possess the ability to effectively assess situations, and act accordingly to achieve a specific goal
• Demonstrate strong analytical skills needed to troubleshoot a variety of symptoms, diagnose problems, and test, recommend, and implement solutions to technology problems
• Display creativity to use existing tools, find new tools, and draw upon available resources to solve problems

And have:

• A Bachelor's degree or Diploma of Higher Education or sufficient Security and Technology experience
• Willing to obtain additional security-related degrees as deemed helpful by the firm; an active security certification from a recognized authority
• A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in information technology, including information security
• Experience working in a law practice office
• Experience with Python or other programming languages
• Experience with Microsoft Windows and other major operating systems
• Experience with Anti-virus, firewall, encryption and authentication
• Relevant network configuration and management experience, as well as Active Directory or similar directory and authentication service experience
• Experience with SIEM, SOAR, EDR or similar tools
