About the Role

The Global Benefits Senior Specialist is an integral part of Latham’s Well-Being & Benefits team. This role will be responsible for supporting the expansion, promotion, and engagement of the firm’s well-being and benefits programs in various jurisdictions, while independently working towards becoming a benefits subject matter expert to engage internal stakeholders across the Global teams. This role will be located in our New York office. Please note that this role requires in-office presence 3 days a week. The remaining 2 days are remote optional. Please note that this role requires in-office presence 3 days a week. The remaining 2 days are remote optional. This role also requires flexibility to occasionally begin earlier or finish later than set schedule. 

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

• Understanding of employee benefits and well-being plan topics helpful (e.g., insurance, health care, well-being, voluntary benefit programs, etc.) and experience writing employee benefit communications
• Driving implementation of specific initiatives, either as project lead or support to the initiative’s assigned Well-Being & Benefits Leader(s)
• Developing a deep knowledge in identified areas within the health and wellness field
• Maintaining fluency in benefits and well-being communications skills and approach, and working closely with the firm’s Internal Communications Team
• Creating well-being and benefits content that promotes the firm’s world-class offerings as part of its employee value proposition

We’d love to hear from you if you:

• Display strong attention to detail and the ability to critically and independently assess proposed projects, communications, and/or solutions
• Demonstrate well-developed, professional interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels
• Possess the ability to work in a team environment with a customer service focus

And have:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Communications or a related field
• A minimum of five (5) years of professional experience supporting diverse employee groups (preferably HR/benefits related)
• A minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible project management experience, preferably in the health and well-being field; a minimum of two (2) years of experience communicating, implementing, and evaluating well-being or other program initiatives in a professional services environment
• Prior experience in the legal services industry
