Project Engineer Position:
· Develop skill set to meet requirements of the Project Manager Positions
· Main point of contact for day to day activities
· Help to support preconstruction effort (budget, schedule, work environment)
· Support PM’s on project related functions
· Help to develop and maintain customer base
· Communicate effectively with the Project Management team & other team members, both internal & external, to provide assistance and technical support as needed.
· Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results
· Maintain product & company reputation/image
· Familiarity with AutoCad, Revit, Navisworks, BlueBeam, Microsoft Office software package,
· Intermediate to Advanced level in Excel
· 4-year degree (STEM or Business) with 2 to 3 years of applicable experience, preferably in the manufacturing or construction industries. Other industry experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
1. Project Support
· Support Project Teams with
- Help to develop original entry information
- Maintain project billing details
- Collaborate with others to complete cost estimates
- Help to develop project specifications & submittal information based on customer requirements & performance standards
- Develop and maintain project files such as status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; recommends actions as necessary
- Help to develop and maintain project schedule by monitoring progress, coordinating activities, & resolving any issues
- Maintain both a business & working relationship with customer(s)
- Maintain the project database and enter back-up data as required
2. Project Safety
· Assist Project Safety Team
- Maintain a safe & clean working environment (5S)
- Be familiar with construction related safety regulations (OSHA 1926 & 1910)
- Enforce company & site specific policies, rules, & regulations on an as needed basis
(in no specific order)
· Organization: Must be very detail oriented & process specific
· Problem solving: Must be able think outside the box & come up with solutions that benefit both the customer & protect the company image/reputation.
· Decision making: Must be able to determine the feasibility of a plan & a back-up plan.
· Communication: Must speak & write clearly to be understood by a large audience across organizational levels
