WHO YOU CAN BECOME: The Assistant Director of Health Services (ADHS) is a full-time, 35 hour a week, non-exempt, and hourly position who assists in overseeing the daily delivery of health care services to students and staff. They assist with the operation of the Health Office (HO). They serve as the acting Director of Health Services (DHS) in their absence. The ADHS oversees and ensures HO staff activity and compliance with all relevant OCFS, SED, 29i, DOH and other relevant regulatory guidance. The ADHS works directly under the leadership of the DHS.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Assists DHS with hiring, orientation, and training of all new HO staff.
  • Assists DHS with development and implementation of new procedures to HO and other relevant staff.
  • Manage relationships and contracts with medical providers, supplies and health care organizations as necessary to meet the health care needs of youth.
  • Develop and deliver medication administration training to LSS staff.
  • Coordinates and oversees provision of medical care to all youth, as assigned.
  • Ensures seamless staffing and care to youth (provides evening, weekend and on call coverage as needed/ assigned).
  • Perform clinical duties as needed.

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • Valid NYS RN License
  • Current CPR course
  • Leadership, supervision, clinical and communication skills.

WHAT WE OFFER:

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $36.22 - $39.33 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
