LaSalle Network has an exciting opportunity with our client in the utilities industry! The Compressor Shop Assistant is responsible for supporting all tasks required by the Compressor Service Director to ensure efficient operation of the division.

This position is responsible for generating quotes, scheduling shipments, ordering parts and maintaining inventory and administrative functions as required.

Compressor Shop Assistant Responsibilities :

• Estimate cost, determine sell price and prepare written proposal
• Maintain Quote Log with all current information, including revisions, wins, losses and cancellations
• Ensure parts pricing is current with continued communications with suppliers, utilizing supplier's portals for pricing
• Utilize supplier's portals for ordering parts
• Open WO's in company ERP system
• Coordinate with customers and service team for schedule
• Arrange and track shipment of compressors
• Create PO's and order necessary parts and service from sub-contractors
• Identify any additional parts required by technicians
• Maintain shop inventory
• Place PO's for consumables
• Report Technician hours
• Any task as deemed necessary by the director to support operations

Compressor Shop Assistant Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
• Experience with MS office with a good understanding of Excel in particular
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to read drawings a plus
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
• Team player
• Ability to work under deadlines
