LaSalle Network is Hiring a Patient specialist Near Plano, TX

LaSalle Network has partnered with a healthcare provider in Plano, TX searching for an entry-level Patient Access Specialist to join their team.

As a Patient Access Specialist , you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless patient experiences by facilitating the registration process, verifying insurance information and coordinating patient appointments.

Your exceptional communication skills and commitment to patient care will contribute to our client's mission of providing outstanding healthcare services to their community.

Patient Access Specialist Responsibilities :

  • Greet patients and visitors with professionalism and empathy, creating a welcoming environment
  • Collect and accurately enter patient demographic and insurance information into electronic medical records systems
  • Verify insurance coverage and eligibility, ensuring compliance with payer requirements
  • Assist patients in understanding their insurance benefits, financial obligations and available payment options
  • Schedule patient appointments, procedures and tests according to provider availability and patient preferences
  • Coordinate referrals to specialists and obtain necessary authorizations as required by insurance plans
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to address patient inquiries, concerns and special needs
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to stay informed about changes in healthcare regulations and best practices

Patient Access Specialist Requirements :

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree preferred
  • Previous experience in healthcare administration, patient registration or related field preferred
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance plans and healthcare regulations preferred
  • Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care
