Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work in partnership and consultation with a volunteer board of directors
• Identify, recruit, train, guide, inspire and engage community and business leaders to be involved in youth programs
• Use effective communication skills to explain program goals and objectives
• Develop, maintain, and nurture collaborative relationships to grow Scout membership
• Support planning and participation for effective local Scout program initiatives
• Provide training for youth and Scout volunteers
• Ensure quality service through regular local Scout leader meetings, training events, and activities
• Initiate and execute successful fundraising events
• Build and grow financial support for Porter County programs
• Achieve revenue goals and participation objectives
• Recruit and train individuals for finance campaign efforts

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• At least 21 years old.
• Able to work flexible hours to meet position requirements, including evening and weekend activities.
• Ability to travel for training at least once a year for one to two weeks.
• Meet Boy Scouts of America’s leadership and membership standards and subscribe to the Scout Oath and Law.
• Scouting, Teaching or Youth Development background is helpful but not required.
