- Knowledgeable of a wide range of nursing leadership responsibilities and how to motivate and lead a team.
- Has knowledge of mental health disorders; cognitive, emotional, developmental, social and behavioral.
- Performs crisis intervention. Participates in the department's performance improvement and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities.
- Functions as a leader in the hospital and is a key leader on the Executive Team and has responsibility for maintaining compliance and ensuring overall nursing functions are followed.
- Required: Bachelors degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program. Current unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the state of employment. CPR and hospital-selected de-escalation technique certification.
- Preferred: Masters Degree in Nursing or other Healthcare related field. Advanced degree or certification in nursing from an accredited nursing program or agency
- Maintains education and development appropriate for position.
- Preferred: A minimum of ten (10) year experience in a behavioral healthcare setting. A minimum of five (5) years of Healthcare leader experience.
- Regulatory and survey experience including The Joint Commission, CMS, and State level survey activity.
