TITLE: Construction Cost Estimator-Civil/Site
Construction Cost Estimator wanted with experience in heavy and highway, sitework, utilities, environmental remediation, structural concrete, and small span bridges including but not limited to dewatering and handling of water. Individual must have knowledge of budgeting, estimating, scheduling, purchasing and overall site work project management.

DESCRIPTION OF ROLE AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
-Ability to read and interpret construction contract documents as it regards estimate preparation and must be able to derive length, area, and volume; Prepare hard cost estimates for competitive bidding of both public and private projects.
-Ability to derive labor, material, and equipment costs in a comprehensive manner such that the bid review team will be able to understand your hard cost approach prior to bid day.
-Responsible for the coordination of construction plans, specifications, addendums, sketches, request for information, bid documents, contract documents, submittals, schedules, and other correspondence.
-Attend pre-bid meetings and preparation of bid packages ensuring packages are thoroughly complete and filed on time. Assignments are time sensitive and must be completed before the date established for internal review.
REQUIREMENTS AND PREFERRED QUALITIES:
Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management; Estimating or Engineering preferred, or equivalent experience.
Applicant must have strong interpersonal skills, both written and verbal; considerable knowledge of business communications.
Field experience is a plus but not required.
40-hour minimum work week Monday through Friday. Some overtime may be required to accommodate due dates.
Applicant should have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Project; a working knowledge of at least one of the following on and off-screen takeoff applications such as Stack, Square Takeoff, eTakeoff, ProEst, Clear Estimates, HCSS, PayDirt, PlanSwift, Bluebeam, PrebuiltML and Buildee.
