    Pre-Kindergarten Teacher
    Purpose Statement
    The job of Pre-kindergarten teacher is done for the purpose/s of providing support to the instructional program with specific responsibilities for identifying, assessing and recruiting families of children three to five years of age who would benefit from early intervention programs; assisting families in identifying needs and identifying available services; ensuring effective communication and service delivery; and conveying information regarding program activities and/or procedures.
    This job reports to Principal
    Essential Functions
    Collaborates with outside agencies and principals for the purpose of developing a coordinating an early intervention academic program.
    Compiles documentation for the purpose of determining eligibility for services and/or funding options.
    Coordinates activities with a variety of outside services agencies, school sites, etc. (e.g. workshops, conferences, classes, home visits, etc.) for the purpose of assisting parents of eligible children to gain access to early intervention services.
    Distributes materials to families, schools, child care centers, health care providers (e.g. home packets, parenting resources, prescreen charts, etc.) for the purpose of providing information on available programs/services.
    Maintains records/files (e.g. participant files, activity logs, required documentation, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities, complying with established guidelines, and/or providing information .
    Monitors family services after eligibility for the purpose of providing ongoing services to eligible families.
    Orders materials and resources for the purpose of ensuring the availability of items as needed.
    Participates in a variety of meetings, workshops and committees (e.g. PTO meetings, training classes, etc.) for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions and remaining knowledgeable with program guidelines.
    Prepares a variety of documents, reports and written materials (e.g. minutes, correspondence, forms, monthly mailings, narrative reports, work plans, transition plans, letters, memos, referrals, etc.) for the purpose of communicating information to parents and staff; providing written support; and developing recommendations and/or conveying information.
    Presents a variety of information to students, parents, and community groups, etc. for the purpose of providing information and/or referrals to ensure early intervention for children with developmental delays and/or disabilities.
    Provides lessons that meet Wyoming Early Childhood State Standards for the purpose of helping the student become successful when they enter kindergarten.
    Provides lessons to children and families (e.g. cognitive, motor, language, social-emotional, adaptive, etc.) for the purpose of fostering, enriching and stimulating learning domains.
    Provides safe environment for the purpose of fostering and developing appropriate social skills and behavior.
    Provides updated information on families served by the program to Principals and Director of Instruction for the purpose of having a record so present services are recorded and future services can be planned.
    Recruits children and families in school areas for the purpose of assessing their needs for early intervention programs.
    Responds to inquiries from a variety of internal and external sources for the purpose of providing information and/or direction as may be required.
    Transports supplies and equipment to a variety of sites for the purpose of ensuring the availability of items as needed.
    Other Functions
    Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
    Job Requirements: Minimum Qualifications
    Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
    SKILLS are required to perform multiple, technical tasks with a need to occasionally upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Specific skill based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: applying assessment instruments; operating standard office equipment including using pertinent software applications; and preparing and maintaining accurate records.
    KNOWLEDGE is required to perform basic math, including calculations using fractions, percents, and/or ratios; read technical information, compose a variety of documents, and/or facilitate group discussions; and solve practical problems. Specific knowledge based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: stages of child development; local agencies, resources, systems and access to services.
    ABILITY is required to schedule a number of activities, meetings, and/or events; gather, collate, and/or classify data; and use basic, job-related equipment. Flexibility is required to work with others in a wide variety of circumstances; work with data utilizing defined but different processes; and operate equipment using defined methods.     Working Environment

    Classroom Teacher
    Purpose Statement
    The job of Classroom Teacher is done for the purpose/s of providing support to the instructional process by serving as a teacher with specific responsibility for supervising students within the classroom and other assigned areas; developing lesson plans; delivering group and individual student instruction within established curriculum guidelines; collaborating with other teachers, other professional staff, and administrators in addressing instructional and/or classroom issues; and responding to a wide range of inquiries from student's parents or guardians regarding instructional program and student progress.
    This job reports to the Building Principal.
    Essential Functions
    Administers subject specific assessments for the purpose of assessing student competency levels and/or developing individual learning plans.
    Advises parents and/or legal guardians of student progress for the purpose of communicating expectations; student's achievements; developing methods for improvement and/or reinforcing classroom goals in the home environment.
    Assesses student progress towards objectives, expectations, and/or goals for the purpose of providing feedback to students, parents and administration.
    Collaborates with instructional staff, other school personnel, parents and a variety of community resources for the purpose of improving the overall quality of student outcomes, achieving established classroom objectives in support of the school improvement plan.
    Directs assistant teachers, student teachers, instructional assistants, volunteers and/or student workers for the purpose of providing an effective classroom program and addressing the needs of individual students.
    Instructs students (e.g. demonstrate, illustrate, define, explain, direct, prepare, compare, differentiate, motivate, guide, facilitate, etc.) for the purpose of improving their success in academics through a defined course of study.
    Maintains district equipment for the purpose of ensuring the availability of the equipment in a safe operating condition and reports defective equipment to the appropriate district personnel for fixing and repairing.
    Manages student behavior for the purpose of providing a safe school learning environment.
    Monitors students in a variety of educational environments (e.g. classroom, playground, field trips, etc.) for the purpose of providing a safe and positive learning environment.
    Participates in a variety of meetings, workshops, training and seminars for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions.
