We are expanding our team to include a Senior Sales Lead, dedicated to driving our growth in commercial construction and landscaping projects.Position Overview:We are seeking an experienced Business Developer specializing in Commercial Landscaping to join our expanding team. This pivotal role is designed for a proactive professional with a robust background in landscape architecture/design and a proven ability to cultivate client relationships and partnerships. The ideal candidate will have excellent strategic planning skills, a collaborative spirit, and a proven ability to foster business growth and project success.Key Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate with the General Manager to devise a comprehensive Business Development Strategy for each designated territory, ensuring consistent updates and reports.
  • Actively explore and understand market dynamics to identify and cultivate new business opportunities
  • Conduct thorough market research and analysis to inform tactical bidding strategies for landscaping projects, ensuring competitive and profitable proposals.
  • Prepare and present proposals tailored to the unique needs and goals of each client, highlighting the value and quality of our services.
  • Actively participate in proposal meetings and negotiations, providing clear, informed answers to client queries and addressing concerns to advance the bidding process.
  • Regularly review and respond to request for proposals (RFPs), ensuring timely, professional submissions that align with client expectations and company capabilities.
  • Ensure all bid documentation is clear, comprehensive, and complies with all legal and regulatory requirements, maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
  • Utilize creative and independent judgment to craft and assess business growth strategies, expanding our portfolio of services in target markets.
  • Regularly participate in production and staff meetings to synchronize business development efforts with ongoing projects and organizational goals.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Design/Architecture, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in landscaping, construction, or a related field is required, demonstrating practical knowledge and skills applicable to job responsibilities
  • A proven track record of sales in commercial landscaping and maintenance work, or similar industry
  • Working knowledge of hardscape and masonry techniques, plant identification, irrigation installation and service and snow operations and products.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, capable of building and maintaining strong business relationships.
  • Proficient in customer database and Excel
  • Valid Driver’s License willingness to travel up to 50% to meet business needs.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Capable of walking extended distances (minimum of 3 miles daily) and lifting and carrying at least 50 lbs.
  • Must have the physical capacity for prolonged sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and twisting.
  • Able to walk and climb and descend hills and stairs.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions, enduring temperatures from below 0°F to above 100°F.
  • Must be physically able to perform both indoor and outdoor tasks during company hours.
  • Free from pre-existing conditions that limit the ability to meet these physical demands.
