A local medical facility in Pensacola is looking for a full-time Urology Medical Receptionist for the Primary Care division to provide excellent care to patients visiting this growing practice. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to be a part of a dynamic supportive working environment.
What you’ll be doing to make an impact:

- Verify the patient’s name and date of birth.
- Click on the patient’s name.
- Check the patient in on the patient tracker.
- Verify the co-pay and notes in the comment section.
- Verify demographics and pharmacy information with patients.
- Verify that insurance information is correct and that our provider is listed as their PCP on their card, if applicable.
- Scan and verify insurance cards (medical and pharmacy cards).
- Scan the driver’s license, HIPAA form, and release an information sheet to the patient’s account.
- Verify the physician’s name and location are stated correctly on the release of information. (Not just BMP, Baptist, SH, WF)
- Change visit type to “Urology .”
- Change service location to Woodlands Medical Specialist
- Verify that PCP is entered in “Primary Provider.” If not, Alt R-click on the “provider tab”, click Primary care physician, type in the provider name, and click on the ‘save’ icon in the top right.
- Enter patient email information on the demographic page; send an email and send an invite.
- Collect Front end co-pay
- Print any Superbills
- At check-out collect all monies for deductible/coins/balances due.
- Schedule all follow-up appointments, labs, and/or mammo/dexa screenings.
- Make sure the patient is checked out of patient tracker.
What you’ll bring to the table:
- High school diploma/GED (required); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
- Previous experience in a medical office
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent customer service and organizational skills
- Works in an efficient manner with a desire to produce quality results
What’s in it for you:
- For this position, you will be paid $15-16/hour
- A schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
