Patient Care Coordinator (Medical Office Check-Out)

The Woodlands Medical Specialists in Pensacola is looking for a full-time medical office check-out to relay the most positive and professional image possible to patients visiting this growing practice.

What you’ll be doing to make an impact :

• Greets patients and visitors and provides excellent customer service.
• Interview and assist patients in completing required documents such as new patient paperwork and other forms about the scheduled visits
• Check out patients and finalize future appointments .
• Schedule all follow-up appointments, labs, and imaging.
• Collection of any payment due .
• Assists in preparing patients for their imaging study and mammogram, along with aiding patients who need additional help.
• Schedule and confirm tests or procedures for patients , such as lab work, imaging studies, or any other diagnostic study.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and imaging studies, including mailing appointment reminders.
• Work-specific lists (no-shows, callbacks, etc) as directed by your manager.
• Working at an acceptable pace according to clinic, provider, and division demands.
• Consistently demonstrating appropriate attention to detail and following through on outstanding tasks within an expected or reasonable timeframe.
• Interacting with providers and coworkers in a consistently professional and courteous manner, appropriately (NOT inappropriately) conversational.
• Consistently follows all policies and procedures, including the attendance policy, keeping unscheduled absences to a minimum .

What you’ll bring to the table :

• High school diploma or GED
• Must be a Team Player, utilize critical thinking skills, and manage conflict resolution

What’s in it for you :

• For this position, starting pay is $16 / hour .
• Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 am to 5 : 00 pm
• Temp-to-Hire position
