Responsibilities:
- Create and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards
- Provide instruction in various subjects, including math and literacy education
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe and supportive learning environment
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to meet the needs of students
- Use effective teaching strategies to engage students and promote learning
- Provide feedback and assess student progress
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student performance
Experience:
- Previous experience working with students, preferably in an educational setting
- Familiarity with early intervention strategies and techniques
- Knowledge of child welfare and development principles
- Experience in lesson planning and curriculum development
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students
- Knowledge of classroom management techniques
Qualifications:
- Department of Children and Families 45 hour childcare classes (required)
- First-aid and CPR Certified (required)
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, and colleagues
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for educating young minds
