The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving coffee and other related beverages to restaurant guests. Their duties include working with the rest of the team to help take orders, prepare beverages and provide timely service to guests.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain thegeneral cleanliness and sanitation of the coffee station, and entire venue.

• Communicates theneeds of the guests to Front-of-House and Heart-of-House support staff,servers, managers and chefs.

• Delivercoffee/tea orders, when required, to tables/bar in a timely manner, and to thecorrect guests.

• Clears any dirtyservice items from the table after delivering coffee/tea orders.

• Helps ensureguest satisfaction through active participation in service.

• Followsupervisor’s instructions, communicate with and support co-workers while beinga team player.
• Possessesin-depth knowledge of the coffee and tea menus, their assigned recipes and theability to execute them to company standard.
• Complies withDepartment of Health and company sanitation standards.
• Properly sets-upcoffee stations, performs side-work and other opening/closing procedures asdirected by management.
• Responsible formaking sure that all perishable items (i.e. milk) have not expired and if theyare promptly discarding them, alert management of the waste

• Stockscoffee-stations with all prescribed supplies

• Must possess a current, unexpired CA Food Handling Certificate.
• 1-2 years previous baristaexperience.
• Previous restaurant experience preferred.
