. Opens stations, obtains medical records, and ensures completeness by performing chart reviews and obtaining needed reports etc. in preparation of day. Ensure chart readiness prior to the patient visit.
. Completes initial health history or updates history forms on all patients.
. Prepare patients for provider exam. Record patient's blood pressure, height, weight, temperature, pulse and respirations. Informs provider of unusual changes.
. Record patient's reason for visit. In the patient's medical record: provide accurate, complete, legible and timely documentation of all nursing procedures.
. Give medications, routine immunizations, therapeutic injections and skin tests per provider instruction and document appropriately per provider written instruction.
. Assist patients without bias or prejudice.
. Communicates effectively with patients and conveys urgent and relevant information to other members of the healthcare team.
. Safely administers medications and treatments in accordance with applicable state statues and company policies and procedures. Immediately reports all medication errors and adverse reactions.
. Processes referrals, insurance authorizations, medication requests in a complete and timely manner.
. Clearly and legibly documents accurate information relative to treatments, procedures and patient status in medical record in an accurate and timely manner.
. Interfaces with other clinical departments to facilitate health care delivery, maintaining effective lines of communication with the all members of the health care delivery team.
. Assists in maintaining organized filing systems and ensures log books and tracking systems are updated and accurate in accordance with company policy and procedures. Completes CLIA waived laboratory quality controls per policy.
. Call patients regarding test results and call pharmacies regarding prescription refills as instructed by provider.
. Assist other back office personnel, assist with medical supply ordering/inventory processes and assist with sample medication inventory/processes.
. Maintain neat, legible and organized written records.
. Maintain a neat, clean and organized work area and keep work supplies stocked.
. Maintain an appropriate inventory of medical supplies for the office and in the exam rooms.
. Perform daily and weekly environmental cleaning and equipment quality control and maintenance.
. Demonstrates understanding of specialty equipment care requirements and performs appropriate equipment maintenance as scheduled and informs manager of equipment needing repair.
. Maintain equipment log forms (i.e. autoclave, refrigerator, freezer temperature logs).
. Sterilize instruments and maintain the diagnostic equipment so that is in good working order.
. Recognize and resolve problems, troubleshoot malfunctions in equipment or treatment procedures and use alternate methods if available.
. Assists in maintaining the readiness of all emergency equipment.
. Perform simple routine laboratory procedures, complete records, collect, and prepare specimens for transportation to the laboratory.
. Follow correct procedures for handling and disposing of biohazard waste.
. Assist the provider with the patient examinations, treatment and minor surgical procedures.
. Follow written and verbal instructions of supervisor and providers.
. Assure that patients have been properly instructed, using the approved written instructions, regarding proper preparation for tests/procedures that have been ordered by the provider.
. Obtain patient signature on appropriate consent forms, prior to procedure, after making sure that the provider has completely informed the patient of the nature of recommended treatment including the risks and benefits. Advise the provider if the patient does not appear to be informed or if the patient does not appear to fully understand the procedure/process.
. Complete all charting, assure the provider has signed all office notes and tests and then return for filing. Review provider orders and ensure they are followed and then sign-off after completion.
. Check for outdated medication on a monthly basis.
. Be willing to learn new procedures or accept new assignments within reasonable time frames, as to be agreed upon between the employee and the office manager. To maintain office operations, all employees will be cross-trained into acclamatory positions to assist in emergency or heavy workload situations.
. Notify the office manager of instrument or procedural problems within specific time frames.
. Adhere to the Medical Assistant's scope of practice at all times.
. Arrive at work on time, begin work promptly and be available until the end of their assigned shift.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities for Xray Tech:
. Take and develop diagnostic radiographs of all body parts.
. Maintain x-ray filing system including x-ray card file and x-ray jackets.
. Maintain log of all radiographs that leave the department.
. Maintain log of all radiographs received from other facilities.
. Responsible for sending back all radiographs received from other facilities after a period of thirty days.
. Respond to inquiries regarding radiographs.
. Responsible for orderliness and stocking of x-ray areas.
