Lakes Regional Community Center seeks a Psychiatrist to provide clinical care to child and adolescent individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. The Center Psychiatrist will provide psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, treatment and medication monitoring in The Centers outpatient psychiatric clinics. The position is responsible for assisting in the coordination of medication related services to include medical, pharmacy and laboratory services and serves as a resource for information providing education to clients and their families. Position is responsible for treatment in accordance with MH Community Standards, Medicaid standards and all applicable HHS department rules and regulations.

Minimum Qualifications:
Successful candidate must have a Doctor of Medicine degree from an accredited professional college or a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine accredited by American Osteopathic Association (AOA), with current license to practice medicine in the state of Texas. Three (3) years of licensed medical practice and successful completion of an approved psychiatry residency training program is required.
Computer skills sufficient with experience in utilization of an electronic medical record and ability to utilize televideo system via Microsoft Teams. Must have a valid Texas driver’s license and acceptable driving record, as well as personal automobile liability insurance as required by the state of Texas.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience treating Children and Adolescents and/or individuals with Intellectual, Developmental Disabilities. Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) a plus.
