Job Summary

The HR Generalist/Medical Records position is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with the Administrator. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional area: benefits administration, employee relations, training, onboarding, recruitment/employment, and employment law compliance. The incumbent must lead by example, adhering to all policies and procedures contained in the manuals issued by LakePoint. This position also serves as the Medical records associate for LakePoint.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer various employee benefits programs, such as group insurance, life, medical and dental, accident and disability, and wellness benefits.
  • Conduct employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling, and exit interviewing.
  • Conduct new employee orientation and onboarding.
  • Assist in the recruitment and employment process, including posting job openings, reviewing resumes, and conducting telephone and in-person interviews.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of employee training programs.
  • Assist in the maintenance of employee files and the HRIS system.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Serve as the Medical records associate for LakePoint.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in HR Generalist role.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
