Assistant Applicator
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This is work of limited skill in the operation of less complex types of automotive and public works equipment.
An employee in this class is responsible for the operation of small trucks and boats used in the aquatic weed
control program. An employee in this class may be temporarily assigned duties in another division/section
during slack periods in the employee’s original area of assignment. Supervision is received from a superior
who checks work in progress and upon completion for proper equipment, operation, and thoroughness in
carrying out assigned tasks.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

• Works outside in various weather conditions.

• Works in or with moving vehicles and/or equipment.(boats , side by sides, etc)

• Radiant energy.

• Uneven surfaces.

• Chemicals (herbicides).

• Poor ventilation.

• Noisy conditions.

• Odors.

Salary Grade: Min: $16.50 Mid: $19.50 ($34,320/ Mid: $40,560)
