Red Cedar Insurance Agency is Hiring an Insurance Customer Service Representative Near Grand Rapids, MI

Commercial insurance agency is seeking customer service representative to join our team.

Location: HYBRID 2 days per week work at home and 2 days in Office - Grand Rapids, MI

Looking for candidates who are eager to learn, gain experience and grow their insurance knowledge.

Weekly Work Schedule: 8a-5p or 9a-6p Monday - Friday

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Positive and enthusiastic.
  • Well organized, reliable, and punctual.
  • Excellent verbal and written communicator.
  • Organized.
  • Attention to detail skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Quick and eager learner at college-level.
  • Experience with Microsoft Programs, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Teams, MS PowerPoint
  • Must be comfortable answering the phone, sending emails, and handing customer service requests daily.
  • Must have at least one year of office experience.
  • Must have 2 years of Applied Epic Agency Management Software Experience.
  • Must have 2 years of experience within insurance industry.

Daily Tasks Include:

  • Insurance certificates.
  • Manipulating data in Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Printing and preparing proposals.
  • Answering and routing client phone calls.
  • Researching client concerns and solving problems.
  • Quote insurance policies with online raters.
  • Data entry/transfer.
  • Customer claim and billing assistance.
  • Maintaining appropriate service timelines on open activities.
  • Processing and sending mail.
  • Logging information.
  • Assisting account manager needs.
  • Assist on various projects.
