The Lake Champlain Waldorf School is accepting applications for an Upper School Waldorf Teacher, science experience a plus! We welcome applications to join our supportive and collegiate group of Upper School teachers in providing an interdisciplinary, developmentally-aligned Waldorf Education to our students in grades 7-12.

Our Upper School teachers work collaboratively and in partnership with our full Faculty and Staff to support our eldest students.

Qualifications :

• Minimum qualification : Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited four-year college of university.
• Completed or in the process of completing Waldorf teacher training.
• Teaching experience with demonstrated ability to teach out of a phenomenological approach consistent with Rudolf Steiner’s educational philosophy.
• Dedication to providing a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment for all students. Proven track record of effectively engaging students.

Summary of Duties :

• Teaching Main Lesson and track classes to our Upper School students in grades 7-12.
• Supporting extracurricular activities and sharing in administrative responsibilities.

About Lake Champlain Waldorf School

Founded in 1984, Lake Champlain Waldorf School is Vermont’s oldest and largest Waldorf School. We are accredited by AWSNA, NEASC, and are a member of WECAN.

We serve newborns through high school on two purpose-built campuses, closely situated in the village of Shelburne. Our high school opened in 2001.

Shelburne is seven miles south of Burlington, a vibrant cultural and educational center. Our beautiful Green Mountain State and Lake Champlain offer many recreational opportunities.

We offer a base salary of $42,000 plus increments for years of experience, generous tuition remission, a wellness benefit, short-term disability, and access to professional development funds.
