Training Specialist 
Location: Cincinnati, Ohio
Employee Classification Salary, Exempt
Starting Salary $55,000
Reports To Human Resource Director

About the Role
The Training Specialist develops, implements, and conducts training and development programs for employees and ensures compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements. 
Department & Purpose
Human Resources
To foster a culture of continuous learning and development; to enhance the skills and knowledge of employees to improve performance; and to ensure regulatory compliance in LADD's training programs. 
Essential Functions 
Training: 
  • Partner with the Acquisition and Onboarding Specialist to conduct new employee orientation and initial onboarding training. 
  • Develop and coordinate training plans for new employees to fulfill specific needs. 
  • Collaborate with HR Director, Program Director, and Department Directors to assess organization training and development needs.
  • Develops, implements, and maintains workforce development initiatives and opportunities. 
  • Coordinate and present training and development programs using various forms and formats.
  • Manager and maintain LADD's learning management system. 
  • Evaluates program effectiveness using qualitative and quantitative data. 
  • Stay updated with the latest training techniques and industry trends.
Compliance: 
  • Manage and maintains training and documentation set up as related to DODD regulations. 
  • Ensures all employees complete and meet regulatory retraining requirements. 
  • Maintains records of training and development activities, attendance, results of rests and assessments, and retraining requirements. 
  • Maintains training procedure manuals, guides, and course materials. 
  • Maintains department compliance related to the HR function. 
  • Maintains knowledge of the latest trends in training and development.
Additional Responsibilities 
  • Operates within an established budget
  • Maintains records and reports of expenses
  • Other duties and projects as assigned
Education/ Skills & Experience 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources, Psychology, Social Work or other related fields.
  • 2 years' experience in education, compliance, or other relevant settings. 
  • Ability to tailor training programs, navigate different learning styles, and delivery methods. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Proficiency in engaging with learners, understanding their needs and adapting training methods accordingly. 
  • Ability to organize and manager multiple training schedules, resources, and administrative tasks efficiently. 
  • Familiarly with learning management systems, e-learning, technology, and basic office software. 
  • Ability to present information clearly and engage learners.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work schedule will normally be Monday through Friday and may include weekends and/or evenings.
  • Job will include being in an office environment as well as remote sites; and may require travel to other location.
  • Must be able to operate standard office equipment Specific requirements (such as lifting) will include accommodation where necessary to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
